If your interior lacks warmth and comfort, add a little DIY romance to it. Designer Natalya Korol will show you how to create a lamp with your own hands using decoupage technique.
For this we need the base of a table or pendant lamp and a lampshade. You can disassemble the old lamp or purchase the necessary components from any store.
We also need three-layer napkins with a pattern you like, PVA glue, white acrylic and gold decorative paint, as well as spray varnish.
First, we apply white paint on the lampshade in one layer as a primer.
While the paint dries, separate the top layer from the napkins and manually tear off the drawing we need.
Then, using a sponge, we apply decorative paint (in our case, gold) to the lampshade.
Without waiting for the second layer of paint to dry, put pieces of napkins on the lampshade and cover them with PVA glue with a brush. Due to this, the edges of the napkin are aligned with the general background of the lampshade.
To fix the resulting decor, cover the lampshade with spray varnish. You can use regular hairspray as a substitute.
The base of the lamp can also be decorated with the remaining gold paint and decorated with ribbons to match the pattern.
Our lamp is ready. It remains only to screw a light bulb into the socket and admire the result!
Thus, you can create a table, floor or pendant lamp that is completely different from others, complementing it with a base or a suspension cord of your choice.
