There are almost no designers in Russia who can make couture collections. Only Valentin Yudashkin and Ulyana Sergeenko work in Haute couture, so it's amazing how little attention fashion magazines pay to the collections of these designers.

Couture collection from Ulyana Sergeenko for the warm season spring-summer 2024 is different from the designer's past works. Here we see more of the influence of Victorian Gothic, austerity and strength, and only then we notice the ethnic motives of Russian costume and folk crafts.

The collection reflects the image of a wise woman who looks fragile and feminine in appearance, but inside she is strong and firm. The spring-summer 2024 looks are inspired by the famous work “Quiet Flows the Don” and the 1957 film of the same name. Each of the heroines of this work is reflected in the collection.



On closer inspection, you can see many references to the folk Cossack costume - wide shirts with hand embroidery, multi-tiered taffeta skirts with hand-printed patterns, dresses assembled in the form of belt scarves, fishnet aprons, leather pouches and rough Cossack boots.

Despite the dominance of sports style in women's fashion, Ulyana continues to create elegant clothes for sophisticated women. Choosing outfits from Ulyana Sergeenko, you can create the image of a real aristocrat. A wise woman does not flaunt her strength and independence, she hides it for the time being.
