Alberta Ferretti's new spring-summer 2024 collection continues to delight with her updated young looks. For about two years, the designer refocused her brand from romantic evening into casual wear. The latest collection cites an early 70s theme that vividly reflects the hippie era.



Loose clothes with psychedelic patterns, jeans, flowers, accessories like handmade (braided belts and knitted bags). Hippie clothing does not limit freedom, so all things are simple and loose fit: loose shirts, capes, flared jeans, wide dresses and skirts.

Among the things similar to those worn by the hippies of the 60s, but with an interpretation of modern trends, one can name suede mini-skirts and a jacket, a dress with a butterfly image in different silk colors, embroidered hemstitch, nude tops and a rainbow palette. In the 60s, hippies used exclusively natural materials, in our time it is impossible without synthetics.

The evening gowns were showcased in shades of blue and black.



Once upon a time in the collections of Alberta Ferretti we saw luxurious and romantic evening wear, worthy of the red carpet. Today it is casual wear for young, modern and active women. One might ask why such a change has taken place? But the designer herself says, without hiding, that it brings a lot of profit.

Denim items always remain in fashion, loose silhouette and simple accessories, boho-style patchwork clothes create cheerful bright images. Boho style is accentuated by leather necklaces, woven bags, mesh inserts, cropped silk tops with embroidery ... Alberta Ferretti highlighted suede, hand embroidery and leather work.



The designer included bright colors in her collection, including pale pink, ocher and watery blues, blues and blacks for the finale. According to the designer, they should be “optimistic”, because “fashion should not be so serious”.

I must say that a parallel can be drawn with many of the images created by the designer in the spring-summer collection and the 2024 film "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood".
