Makeup after 40 that is younger
The opinion that a woman after 40 years should not paint too carefully is wrong! Quite the opposite: make-up after 40 years should be thoughtful, skillfully executed, almost jewelry. And this does not mean that it will be bright, vulgar and striking. There are many subtleties and nuances of how to do the right anti-age make up. We will share them with you, telling in detail what it should be and how to do makeup after 40 years, which is rejuvenating.
Why do you need special makeup after 40 years?Already after 30 years, changes begin to occur in the skin and facial features. And if at 30 they still do not catch the eye, then by the age of 40 you can already see wrinkles and dry skin, loss of elasticity, a change in the oval of the face and other age-related changes. It is the competent and thoughtful anti-age makeup that can help hide these imperfections.
It is often called "lifting", and with its help it is really possible to visually reset several years, up to a dozen. At the same time, your make up should be thought out in advance, very thorough, but not intrusive, using high-quality cosmetics.
Funds must be suitable for you and only you. Whether it's an expensive high-profile fluid foundation from a luxury brand or a light BB cream from the mass market, the most important thing is that the texture, composition and color match your appearance and your skin.
Rejuvenating makeup after 40 years step by step
Now let's get down to the step-by-step implementation of anti-aging makeup. We will tell you which products are better to choose and how to apply them correctly.
Step # 1: apply foundation
For aging skin, a good moisturizing base must be applied before applying the foundation. If this is your regular day cream, apply it ahead of time and let it absorb well. Better yet, get a special makeup base - usually a light moisturizing fluid that evens out the skin and prepares it for makeup.
The foundation itself is better to choose a liquid, spreading, light texture. Too dense creams, as well as intensively matting agents in anti-age make-up are unacceptable. If the skin is oily, the shine can be removed in other ways (see step number 3), but the foundation must be light, not creating a mask effect.
No matter how you love sunburn and dark skin, it is better to choose a foundation half a tone lighter than your natural skin tone. After all, the tanning effect can also be added with the help of bronzers and highlighters (see step number 2), making accents only on some parts of the face, without making the entire oval heavy with too dark color.
Step # 2: lighten and darken areas of the face
For anti-age makeup, in addition to foundation, you will need a few more products to create perfect skin. This is a light concealer that is applied to the under eye area to hide dark circles. The corrector can mask skin imperfections and age spots, if any.
It is also worth having a highlighter in your arsenal, but not mother-of-pearl, but more restrained, with a slight satin shine. With a highlighter it is worth highlighting the protruding part of the cheekbones, the area under the eyebrow, a little of it can also be applied to the central part of the chin. But do not overdo it with glitter, otherwise the wrinkles will be visible even more.
You can darken the desired areas with a dark powder with a tanning effect. It is desirable that it be matte, without excessive shine - we have already added it to the skin with the help of a highlighter. Dark powder should be applied to the area under the cheekbone, in the hollows of the cheeks, on the tip of the chin, on the upper part of the forehead and a little on both sides of the wings of the nose. This technique will create clear lines of the oval of the face and give the effect of a tan.
Step # 3: apply blush and matte your face
In order not to create the effect of a mask on the face, which consists exclusively of beige and brown tones, you need to use blush. They will add freshness and provide a healthy complexion. Choose blush according to your color type: if you are a pale-skinned blonde, it is better to take pink shades, if a dark-skinned brunette - peach.
Choose a blush with light textures, preferably friable and translucent, which will not give a clear accent of color. Apply them with a wide brush on the protruding "apples" of the cheeks with a very light motion. Do not overdo it so that you do not get the impression of an overly pronounced blush.
Now the last step in creating the perfect skin and oval: using a mattifying powder. Be sure to choose loose mineral powders, not dense, pressed, compact ones. There are special transparent powders that suit any skin tone and fit well on any foundation. Apply powder with a puff to the T-shaped area (forehead-nose-chin) and a little on the central part of the cheeks under the eyes.
Step # 4: add eyebrows and eyes
When it comes to daytime makeup, you need to use nude shades for eye makeup. Ideally, you should apply a base under the shadows on your eyelids, then the shadows themselves will fit perfectly. In everyday makeup, if you are not used to using eyeshadow or pencil, sometimes just the base under the eyeshadow will be enough to even out the skin. Don't use creamy shadows, and certainly don't use pearlescent or glitter.
Apply a flesh-colored beige shadow on the movable eyelid, and a slightly darker chocolate or graphite on the lash line. Light shadows can be with a light satin shine - it will visually hide wrinkles and folds of the eyelids. The growth line of the lower eyelashes can be emphasized with a thin pencil. And you should definitely apply mascara, but not thick charcoal black, but a little lighter and more restrained graphite or chocolate.
Eyebrows are a separate "story". First of all, they must be well-groomed, and therefore you need to monitor them regularly. Decrease age can be enough
wide eyebrows (in moderation), but not dark and not densely colored. Use a light shade or powder in brown, beige or graphite tones to tuck your brows. Do not pluck your eyebrows too thin, and do not use dark pencils for their makeup.
Step # 5: lip liner
The final step in anti-age makeup is the application of lipstick. Glossy, pearlescent or glittering glitters (as well as shadows of the same texture) should be discarded. It is better to choose moisturizing soft lipsticks for your lips. Matte, too, should not be used - they are very dry lips and can "bare" all their dryness, flaking and deep wrinkles.
To begin with, the lips should be well moisturized with oil or balm. Then apply some foundation on them to even out the color. With age, the contour of the lips changes, asymmetry is more pronounced. Therefore, the contour must be emphasized with a pencil, but be sure to choose a tone-on-tone pencil with lipstick, not darker. It is better to apply lipstick with a brush.
Use natural shades, too bright on an aging face will look vulgar, and too dark will add even more age. The optimal choice - lipsticks in the color of the lips, terracotta, peach, muted pink, beige, nude, pastel pink, but not too "bleached" and pale.
