At the London Kerry Taylor Auction, Princess Diana's dress was sold for 102 thousand pounds. According to the auction house, a strapless dress with a translucent skirt, embellished with a peplum, sequins, rhinestones and pearls, was sold to an unspecified foreign museum.
The dress appeared in Diana's wardrobe in 1986. Princess wore the dress several times at various public events, including the premiere of the ballet "Ivan the Terrible" during the 1986 tour of the Bolshoi Theater.
This dress is very beautiful, and unlike many of Diana's other outfits, it best creates the image of a real princess, so such a high price is quite justified.
